Transparency is key in divorce proceedings. Private investigators and forensic accountants can find just about anything. Courts will punish those who try to conceal financial information and assets. 

 

Dating Again 

Starting a new romantic relationship early in the process while your divorce is still pending can lead to several problems. The biggest of which is jealous feelings from your spouse which can result in difficulties resolving the case in a reasonable amount of time. 

 

Refusing to Negotiate

It normally doesn’t pay to be difficult. This is especially true when children are involved. Negotiations are key to a smooth resolution. Fighting just to fight can be damaging to the kids, emotionally painful for you, and often very expensive.

The internet isn’t always your friend. You don’t know what you don’t know. Even lawyers sometimes have trouble navigating the process if they don’t primarily practice family law.
